In South Africa, gambling operators are partnering with tech companies to create AI-powered tools designed to analyze betting patterns and detect signs of risky behavior at an early stage. Supporting access for people with mental health problems

This service is part of the National Gambling Support Network (NGSN) which provides free, confidential and personalised support for anyone affected by gambling. On average, NGSN services can offer treatment within 5 to 9 working days of receiving the request. The service is designed and delivered by women with lived experience and offers a safe space for women. Peer Aid is a peer support service, delivered by Peer Supporters who have received City and Guilds assured training, and it provides oneto-one, group and personal development support. This service is part of theNational Gambling Support Network (NGSN) which provides free, confidential and personalised support for anyone affected by gambling.

The influence of distance is also determined by the interaction with other factors. Support groups offer a safe space to discuss the challenges of addiction and to encourage one another during recovery. In a support group, you’ll meet others who’ve been through the same struggles.
